Front Loader ruining my cotton things?
I have a bosch front loader washing machine and ever since I have had it my cotton things have been coming out stiff and hard. Our t-shirts are looking worse for it and my towels are just ruined. I have tried reducing the amount of powder I use, I have tried fabric softener, I have tried vinegar, I have been using the rinse plus cycle. I have tried using different temperature washes. I always buy powder for front loaders but nothing seems to be working and I am at my wits end.
Has anyone else successfully resolved this issue.
Try washing some things with no soap or detergent whatsoever a few times. Look for excess suds in the washer as it’s going. I’m wondering if the amount of water is wrong and needs adjusting.
Could you be overloading the machine? Can you weigh the dry clothes and compare it to the maximum load recommended for the washer?
I’ve been using front loaders for about 10 years now, and have only had this stiff-fabric problem when someone who is used to top loaders adds detergent. I’ve seen it in overloaded top loaders, though.
